Getting to know Gustavo Lugo.
Hello. I’m Gus (short for Gustavo). I’m a regular guy from SoCal who makes his living helping families buy, sell, and invest in real estate. I consider myself the luckiest person on earth. I didn’t win the lottery, I don’t drive a fancy car, and I’m not famous. What I do have is a beautiful wife, a loving family, awesome friends, and a line of work that allows me to help folks realize their real-estate dreams.
Speaking of real estate, I just love it. I can’t stop talking about it, looking at it, buying it and/or selling it. I’ve spoken to other real estate agents, and it seems many don’t even preview homes unless they’re invoicing someone. But that’s just not me. Instead, I’m always trying to learn a better way to buy or sell property, and for the best possible price. It’s not about rushing the customer, but about our reaching a goal together.
How did I get here? I used to have a corporate job, which I really enjoyed. I served as Vice President of Recruitment for a Fortune 500 Bank, and I loved the line of work. I had no plans to leave, but there are still things you can’t control (like the economy); in 2008, I was laid off with 8,000 other employees. My bank, and many others, closed their doors, and opportunities in the field of recruitment were bleak.
Getting laid off is weird. One day you think everything’s fine — and the next? You don’t know what you’re supposed to do. Instead of feeling bad, I decided to take control of the situation and follow my passion.
It turns out that being downsized was the best thing to ever happen to me professionally. Without being tied to a nine-to-five job, I’ve been able to have a lucrative career in real estate AND more flexible hours, allowing me to spend time with my family and travel, while I pursue my passion for property investing.
Nothing in a life — or career — goes to waste. My formal education in social psychology (I earned my B.A. from UCLA), along with my extensive experience in recruiting executives, gives me a strong foundation for helping clients navigate turning points. For most, changing jobs can be as — or more — stressful than moving. Realizing this has taught me two very valuable lessons.
First, always tell the truth. Clients might not like it, but that doesn’t change facts. Knowing the reality of the market, the value of your home, and the best strategy for buying, selling or investing in property will help you make the best decisions for you and your family.
Second, communication helps your customer. Whether you’re a first home buyer or a real-estate veteran, having all the information can help you keep your stress level low, while you focus on your goal: buying your dream home, investing in your next property, or getting top dollar for your home.
If you’ve read this far, then let me offer you a huge “Thanks!” I would be honored to chat with you about real estate. Call me, let’s talk.

What Gustavo's Clients are Saying.
Gustavo was a pleasure to work with, he is a very hard working and professional individual.
We were referred to Gus by a friend and I'm glad we were. He set up an initial meeting to get to know my fiance and me as well as find out what we liked and didn't like. Based on that initial meeting he sent us daily updates of available properties that met our criteria. He always made himself available via text, email, or phone call as well as accommodated our schedule to visit available properties.
He definitely went above and beyond as our realtor in all aspects, with his help and guidance we were able to find the perfect condo in Long Beach. Thanks Gus

Woohoo! You and Lorena are the best! You guys made our dream come true! Michael and I are so excited, We can’t wait to move to this beautiful place...thank you!!!
Gus is a a great and professional agent to find your home with. He walked us through everything and explained everything in such an easy manner, which was important for us as first-time home-buyers who felt that we didn't know what we were walking into! On top that, he's extremely friendly and available at any time via call or text.
We were going in a few different directions when we first started looking with Gus, but he was so patient and worked with us until we honed in on what was important and what wasn't. Happy to say we found our condo in Long Beach with Gus! I highly recommend.
Gus was always available, patient, persistent, and transparent when it came to the realities of this process which I appreciated a lot. He was creative with writing up offers to help set us apart in the buying process. He was easy and fun to work with and mirrored my pace throughout the purchasing process. I felt informed but not pressured, a very nice place to be as a buyer. I felt like I had an advocate and partner in navigating the OC market. Thank you Gus!
Gustavo Lugo is a great real estate professional to work with. He's pleasant, knowledgeable, and wants to get the job done. He listens to what your needs are and works hard to find what you are looking for. If you are not sure what you want, he'll provide you with hand picked properties for you to compare so that you can begin to better identify the type of home you really want and that you can afford. Like I said, he wants to get the job done. He won't waste your time. Don't hesitate. Give him a call. You'll be happy you did. He's easy to talk to and a pleasant person all around.
"Gustavo, your the best!!!!, I always recommend you with clients and friends"
Gus helped me beat out other buyers with his great negotiation skills. Thanks Gus!
Selling an investment home can be tricky. Our current renters made it difficult to show the property. Gus has a great way of easing the process that not only did we sell this home for a great price, he was able to help our old tenants secure a new home as well. Thats what I call a "win-win". Thanks Gus
I have worked with Gus on a number of occasions and he has only shown the highest level of professionalism and expertise. Truly, a person to have on your side.
Gus helped us find our dream home, thanks Gus!
I expected the home buying process to be extremely stressful and time consuming, but with Gus's help it wasn't. He was always responsive, patient with questions/concerns, and calm about any unforeseen issues that arose. He was great to work with!
Being a past agent and broker myself, I understand the level of detail and attention that an agent should have when it comes to purchasing a property. I can say without a doubt that Gus is a top notch agent. He made the process easy and was consistently available during each step of the purchase. We ran into issues with the listing agent, but Gus was calm and collected the entire time while getting past the challenges. He made sure to do everything in his power to ensure a fast close. 27 days and the home was ours! Do yourself a favor and hire Gus as your agent. You’ll be happy that you did!
