Getting to know Nick Oberts.

Nick’s journey into Real Estate followed an unusual path. He graduated with a master’s degree in structural engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and started his career designing highrise buildings from an office in San Francisco. As an engineer, he did everything from designing new high rise condominiums to supporting the operations, maintenance, and safety programs for a major U.S. theme park. He moved to San Diego in 2012 and has lived in California for more than half of his life. Following several years of living in and learning about the diverse communities in San Diego County, he made the transition from a successful career in engineering to pursue his passion for real estate. Most recently, he was recognized by his broker as being one of their top agents for the year for 2019.

Nick is actively involved in his community. He is a dedicated supporter of the San Diego Zoo and has helped further their mission of saving species worldwide through his service as a volunteer since 2013. He is a member of the Mira Mesa Town Council, where he serves on the Street Fair Committee and he serves as treasurer for the San Diego Post of the Society of American Military Engineers. He enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, walking, enjoying the beaches and long runs with his dog. He loves sharing his knowledge of the San Diego region, and all of the opportunities available for culture and recreation that it provides, with his clients.
